Kazakhstan is a growing agricultural market with agriculture accounts for more than 10 % of the GDP in Kazakhstan. Main agricultural produce in arable farming are wheat, barley, rice and cotton. In animal husbandry, dairy products, meat, leather and wool play the most important role. In order to accelerate the modernisation of equipment and technologies the government plans to invest up to USD 20 billion in the agriculture and animal husbandry until 2020.
For international suppliers of investment goods like agricultural machinery and equipment, seeds, plant protection, food processing and livestock the market offers good perspectives for sales and cooperation.
Participating in KazAgro/KazFarm, the leading agricultural trade fair in the capital Astana, opens up the possibility to meet the players in this market: dealers, agrifood enterprises, representatives of politics and administration.
From October 26 – 28, 2016 exhibitors of agricultural machinery and equipment will showcase their latest products. Last year more than 250 exhibitors from 18 countries took part in this exhibition.
The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and the German Engineering Association (VDMA) are again supporting the exhibition with an Official German Pavilion.
